Hello,

I'm Stuart Wedge and I'm very pleased to finally bring this course to life. It has been a labour of love to get it to this stage. We'll cover the fundamental knowledge required to develop, great security policies, that your organisations can use to help improve their security profile and culture.
Module 0 is free and open to the world. There are seven videos in module 0. They cover my background and why I'm a suitable person to teach you the subject. We will look at some career paths and job roles that require an understanding of the fundamentals of security policy development, and we will look at some qualifications and certifications that will help you become a PolicyWizard. There will be tips to help you get over the experience wall and some side hustles that you can use to gain hands-on experience.
In module one we will investigate, "What is a security risk?" and, "What is a security policy?". We will go over a new concept of human risk management, implementing security controls within policies, and different types of policies. We will then cover some effective writing styles, digging deep into some areas that you must consider when writing great policies.
We'll then do a couple of scenario-based practical labs where you will be tasked with writing two different policies. You will also have the option of doing 2x 15-minute presentations on those policies, and there's a quiz at the end.
Upon completion of the course, you'll be provided with a certificate for you to post your accomplishment on LinkedIn, and you will be given free access to the policy wizard community where you can post your policies and presentations for constructive feedback from the members.
I would like to thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you complete this and move on to the security policy masterclass next year. Start your journey to become a policy wizard today.
